New Day Was Never About Perfect Skin

Skin, Renewed. Self, Remembered.

There is a version of self-care we’ve been sold for a long time.

She wakes up early. She drinks the water. She moves her body. Her bathroom counter is beautiful. Her skincare routine has seven perfectly layered steps, and somehow she always has the time, energy, and discipline to do every single one of them.

And then there’s real life.

Real life has alarm clocks and work and children and aging parents and laundry and deadlines. It has nights when you’re exhausted and mornings when you’re already behind before your feet hit the floor.

Some days, you have an hour.

Some days, you have three minutes.

And some days, washing your face before falling into bed feels like an accomplishment.

New Day was created for all of those days.

More importantly, it was created for the woman living them.

We See Both of Her

I love the ritual of skincare.

I love the beautiful bottle sitting on the counter. The feel of a serum between my fingertips. The scent, the texture, the layers. I love those moments when you can close the bathroom door, shut out the rest of the world, and spend a little time caring for yourself.

There is something beautiful about making an ordinary Tuesday night feel special.

But I also know the other woman.

The woman who looks at the clock and realizes she has approximately three minutes to get herself out the door.

The woman who gets to the end of a long day and doesn't have one more elaborate thing left in her.

The woman who washes her face, puts on some moisturizer and thinks, That's all I've got tonight.

I see her, too.

Because they aren't two different women.

They're the same woman on two different days.

And neither one of them is doing it wrong.

That belief became part of the heart behind New Day Skin + Body.

The Science Matters. But So Does the Woman Using It.

I wanted New Day to have substance behind the beauty.

Our formulations bring together advanced peptides, sophisticated skincare ingredients, thoughtfully selected botanicals and beautiful formulations designed to support skin that looks healthier, smoother, stronger and more radiant.

I care deeply about understanding ingredients. I care about why they're there, what they're intended to do and how products work together.

The science matters.

But somewhere along the way, I think the beauty and wellness industries have sometimes forgotten something incredibly important:

The woman using the product matters, too.

The most beautiful bottle in the world doesn't matter if it sits unopened because you're saving it.

The most sophisticated routine doesn't help if it's so complicated that you won't use it.

And the most advanced formula shouldn't become one more thing staring at you from the bathroom counter reminding you of something you didn't manage to do perfectly today.

Self-care was never supposed to become another measure of our worth.

Some Days It's Ten Seconds. Some Days It's the Entire Hour.

There will be mornings when skincare means the basics.

There will be evenings when you want the entire ritual.

And there will be those glorious moments when you close the bathroom door, turn everything else off, put on some music, light the candle, line up the bottles and give yourself the entire hour.

Take it.

Enjoy it.

Don't apologize for it.

But when tomorrow looks completely different, don't apologize for that either.

Ten seconds counts.

Ten minutes counts.

The entire hour counts.

The value isn't determined by how elaborate the routine was.

Sometimes the significance is simply that, for a few seconds in the middle of everything else, you remembered yourself.

Use the Good Stuff

This has become one of my favorite ideas behind New Day.

Use the good stuff.

How many beautiful things have we saved for later?

The expensive candle.

The dress.

The dishes.

The perfume.

The beautiful serum.

We're waiting for company. Waiting for dinner reservations. Waiting for an occasion important enough to justify opening the thing we've been saving.

But what exactly are we waiting for?

Open the beautiful bottle.

Use the serum.

Burn the candle on a Tuesday.

Take the extra twenty minutes when you have them.

Put on the product you've been saving because it feels too special for an ordinary morning.

Your life is happening now.

And you are the special occasion.

And When You Don't Have Twenty Minutes?

Wash your face.

Put on the moisturizer.

Call it enough.

Really.

Because caring for yourself doesn't suddenly become meaningless because you didn't perform it perfectly.

Quick can be beautiful.

Simple can be beautiful.

Luxurious can be beautiful.

Starting over can be beautiful.

Maybe yesterday you did everything.

Maybe yesterday you did absolutely none of it.

Today doesn't need to become a punishment for yesterday.

Today gets to be today.

That's Why It's Called New Day

The name has come to mean much more to me than skincare.

Because every morning gives us something incredibly simple and incredibly powerful:

another beginning.

Not another opportunity to become perfect.

Not another chance to punish ourselves for what we didn't do yesterday.

Not another demand to become someone else.

Just another opportunity to show up.

For your skin.

For your body.

For your life.

And for the woman looking back at you in the mirror.

The woman who has changed.

The woman whose skin has changed.

The woman who has carried everyone else and occasionally forgotten herself along the way.

The woman who doesn't need another company telling her she should be younger, smoother, thinner, better or somehow different before she's worthy of something beautiful.

I want New Day to remind her of something else.

You can want results without rejecting the woman you are today.

You can care about your skin without being afraid of aging.

You can love sophisticated science and beautiful products without turning self-care into another obligation.

You can take the whole hour when you have it.

And you can take thirty seconds when you don't.

It all counts.

Because maybe self-care isn't always about doing more.

Maybe sometimes it's simply about remembering that you belong somewhere on the list of people you take care of.

So use the good stuff.

Open the bottle.

Burn the candle.

Take the time when it's there.

Give yourself grace when it isn't.

And tomorrow?

Tomorrow is another opportunity.

Another beginning.

Another New Day.

NEW DAY SKIN + BODY

Skin, Renewed. Self, Remembered.

Use the good stuff. You are the special occasion.
