Meet Kristi Young
The heart, the purpose, and the woman behind Shifted Being
I began creating Shifted Being when I made a decision: I would become an active participant in the direction of my own life.
I wanted to change how I thought, how I cared for myself, and what I believed was possible. I wanted to build healthy boundaries, reclaim my voice, and create a life rooted in purpose.
Following my divorce, I entered a season of rebuilding. What became most meaningful was the woman I was choosing to become.
I began tending to my heart, my mind, and my soul. I started recognizing my needs and giving them a place in my decisions. I learned to protect my peace, trust my judgment, and take responsibility for the future I wanted to build.
There was beauty in that process. There was also work.
Each new boundary, each change in thinking, and each decision to honor my worth helped move my life in a different direction.
Shifted Being grew from that movement—from the possibility that we can change the way we live by changing the way we understand and care for ourselves.
What It Means To Be A Shifted Being
The name holds the heart of my work.
A shift can begin when you recognize a pattern you are ready to change. When you listen to a need you have repeatedly pushed aside. When you ask for support, establish a boundary, or begin making choices that reflect your values.
Over time, those choices can change how you experience your life.
For me, becoming a Shifted Being meant reclaiming my power and learning how to use it with intention. It meant making room for healing, growth, and a deeper understanding of who I was created to be.
I was changing my relationship with myself—and that change was reaching into every part of my life.
I wanted to create a place where other women could explore that possibility, too. A place where wellness education, practical support, and compassion could help them find their own direction.
That vision became Shifted Being Health & Wellness.
When The Meaning Became Even Deeper
I had already begun creating Shifted Being when a slip and fall brought a life-changing injury.
Multiple surgeries, recovery, medications, and changes in my body introduced challenges I had never anticipated. The life I was building now required a different kind of courage.
Once again, I faced a choice that felt like life or death. I chose life—and had to keep choosing it through the realities of recovery.
The meaning of Shifted Being deepened.
I was learning how to live the very principles that had inspired its beginning: listen closely, respond honestly, seek support, and keep taking the next possible step.
Some days, that step was small. My needs and abilities had changed, and I had to learn how to care for the woman I was in that moment.
That experience gave my purpose greater depth. It taught me how important it is for support to meet a person’s actual circumstances, especially when she is already working hard to move forward.
Why Compassion Is Part Of Everything I Do
When someone comes to me with a wellness concern, I want to understand the life surrounding it.
What has she been navigating? What has she already tried? What feels difficult? What does she need someone to hear?
My own experiences have made me attentive to the effort people carry beneath the surface. A woman may be managing pain, family responsibilities, changes in her body, or uncertainty about her future while still showing up for everyone around her.
I understand how much can live inside the words, “I want to feel like myself again.”
That is why I listen carefully. It is why I care about making information understandable and next steps manageable. It is why I want women to feel comfortable asking questions and speaking honestly about what is happening in their lives.
Compassion makes room for the truth. Once we understand where you are, we can begin exploring what will support you.
Who I Am And What I Bring
I’m Kristi Young, founder of Shifted Being Health & Wellness, an integrative health coach, a longtime holistic wellness practitioner, and a mother of two.
My background includes more than eighteen years in holistic wellness and five years in integrative health coaching, with experience in metabolic wellness, weight-management support, wellness education, and practical lifestyle habits.
I bring a strong interest in understanding the body and helping people make informed choices. I also bring the perspective of a woman who has had to rebuild trust in her own body and navigate significant changes in her life.
Those experiences shape how I teach, how I listen, and how I approach each conversation.
I value continuing education and clear information. I want clients to understand the purpose behind the habits they are exploring and feel confident asking questions about their care.
My role is to offer coaching, education, and practical support while recognizing when a concern needs assessment or treatment from an appropriate licensed healthcare professional.
The Women I Have A Heart For
I have a particular heart for women who are ready for something to shift.
Sometimes they can name exactly what they want: more consistent habits, greater confidence, or a clearer approach to caring for themselves.
Sometimes they simply know that the way they are living has become difficult to sustain.
I also have a heart for the woman who looks as though she has everything together. She may be capable, dependable, and generous with her time, while quietly feeling disconnected from her own needs.
I understand that experience.
As a mother, I know that self-care happens within a life full of responsibilities. Families, work, and everyday demands still need attention. Meaningful support helps a woman find room for herself within that life.
At Shifted Being, we begin with the person you are today and the direction you want to move.
What Working With Me Looks Like
We begin with a conversation about you.
Your goals. Your questions. Your experiences. The things you have tried and the parts of your routine that feel difficult to maintain.
Together, we look for practical ways to support your well-being. Depending on your goals, coaching may include nourishment, movement, daily routines, stress awareness, and making time for your own care.
I want you to understand the steps you choose and how they fit into your life.
There is room to adjust when circumstances change. There is room to acknowledge a difficult week and decide what would help you move forward.
My hope is that our work helps you become more confident participating in your own care—recognizing your needs, expressing concerns, and making informed decisions.
A meaningful shift might begin with one habit you can sustain. It might begin with a question you finally feel comfortable asking. It might begin with taking your own well-being seriously enough to seek support.
Those beginnings matter.
Whole-Body Reconnection
Whole-Body Reconnection describes an important part of my philosophy: learning to notice and respond to yourself with greater understanding.
That includes your physical experience, your emotions, and the way you speak to yourself. It includes the expectations you carry and the space you make for nourishment, movement, rest, and support.
My own journey taught me that changes in the body can affect confidence and identity in ways that are difficult to explain.
Reconnection begins with attention.
What are you noticing? What do you need? What feels manageable? What requires professional guidance?
These questions help us move toward choices that are thoughtful and appropriate for your circumstances.
For me, this work is connected to a larger purpose: helping women develop a relationship with themselves that supports the lives they want to build.
New Day: The Philosophy In Everyday Practice
New Day Skincare carries the heart of Shifted Being into a daily act of care.
It brings together my interest in cosmetic science, purposeful products, and education that helps people understand their skincare routines.
It also reflects something deeply personal to me: the opportunity to begin again.
Our skin changes through the seasons of our lives. The way we care for it can become a consistent moment of attention to ourselves—a pause in which we notice what we need and respond thoughtfully.
I want women to understand their products, feel comfortable asking questions, and approach their reflection with kindness.
New Day belongs within Shifted Being because both share the same intention: to make caring for yourself more understandable, purposeful, and personal.
Faith And The Purpose I Am Growing Into
My Christian faith is an important part of who I am.
It has sustained my hope through uncertainty and continues to shape the way I understand perseverance, worth, and purpose.
I believe I am becoming the woman God has been preparing me to be. That belief encourages me to keep learning, to make courageous choices, and to use what I have experienced in service to others.
I bring that commitment into my work through compassion, honesty, and respect.
Whatever your beliefs or background, you deserve to feel welcome here and to have your experience taken seriously.
Your Shift Can Begin Here
Shifted Being began with a decision to take part in shaping my own future.
It grew through the choices that helped me reclaim my voice, establish boundaries, and care for myself more intentionally. It gained depth as I navigated injury, recovery, and a changing relationship with my body.
Today, it is the place where my experience, education, compassion, and purpose come together.
If you are ready to explore a different way of caring for yourself, we can begin with a conversation.
You can bring your questions, your uncertainty, and your hopes for what comes next.
My purpose is to help you find understanding, support, and practical direction as you create your own shift.
