Peptide Education
THE HEART BEHIND THE EDUCATION
Science is powerful. Understanding it is empowering.
At Shifted Being Health & Wellness, peptide education isn't about chasing the newest compound, the fastest result, or the latest trend.
It's about understanding the body.
Peptides are part of an extraordinary and rapidly evolving area of scientific research. They are being studied across areas involving cellular communication, metabolic signaling, recovery, inflammation, mitochondrial function, body composition, healthy aging, and more.
But Kristi believes the conversation should never begin and end with a peptide.
Because there is a person behind the pathway.
A life behind the lab work.
Habits, stress, sleep, nutrition, movement, hormones, recovery, goals, frustrations, and a history that cannot be reduced to the name on a vial.
Peptide education should make people more informed—not more dependent.
That's why education is at the center of what we do.
We want people to understand the science being studied, understand its limitations, ask better questions, and recognize that no single compound replaces the foundations of health.
The goal isn't simply to know more about peptides.
It's to understand more about the body they're being studied in.
Kristi Young is a holistic practitioner, metabolic optimization specialist, and international integrative health coach with nearly two decades of experience helping individuals reconnect with their bodies and restore their health from the inside out.
As the founder of Shifted Being Health & Wellness, Kristi blends advanced peptide science, metabolic strategy, and whole-person wellness to design personalized protocols that support healing, resilience, and sustainable transformation. Her work is grounded in the belief that when the body is supported at the cellular level, the mind and spirit naturally follow.
Our Founder
Kristi’s approach is shaped by both professional expertise and personal experience. After navigating a life-changing injury that exposed the limitations of conventional approaches to weight loss and chronic health challenges, she committed her career to helping others find a more compassionate and effective path forward.
Today, she is known for her ability to see the deeper story behind a person’s symptoms and guide clients through metabolic repair, inflammation reduction, hormone balance, recovery, and performance optimization.
Through educational webinars, immersive 16-week transformation programs, and community-based wellness initiatives, Kristi is helping lead a movement focused on what she calls whole-body reconnection—restoring rhythm, rebuilding trust with the body, and guiding individuals into a new day of strength, clarity, and vitality.
Having navigated her own healing journey, Kristi knows that lasting transformation is rooted in compassion, understanding, and genuine connection. She takes the time to truly listen, uncover the deeper story behind your symptoms, and guide you in rebuilding trust with your body—helping you shift from exhaustion and imbalance to renewed strength, clarity, and confidence.
Work with Kristi and discover a transformative approach where science meets soul, and every step moves you closer to vibrant, sustainable health.
The Mission
Our mission is to make complex peptide science understandable, responsible, and relevant while keeping whole-person health at the center of the conversation.
Through evidence-informed education, we explore the biological pathways, mechanisms, emerging research, limitations, and unanswered questions surrounding peptides and related compounds.
At the same time, we never lose sight of the foundations that matter: nutrition, movement, strength, sleep, recovery, stress management, metabolic health, and sustainable daily habits.
Because advanced science should complement a strong foundation—not distract from the absence of one.
What We Believe
THE BODY IS A SYSTEM. TREAT THE EDUCATION THAT WAY.
We believe health is bigger than one peptide, one supplement, one lab value, one number on the scale, or one goal.
The human body is an interconnected system of signals, responses, adaptations, and constantly changing needs.
That is why our educational approach looks beyond “What does this peptide do?”
We also ask:
What pathway is being studied?
Why does that pathway matter?
What does the research actually show?
What doesn't it show?
What other factors influence that biological process?
Where are the limitations?
And how does this information fit into the bigger conversation about health?
We don't want people memorizing peptide names.
We want them learning how to think about the science.
Our Educational Promise
We will respect both the excitement and the limitations of emerging science.
We will distinguish established evidence from early research.
We will talk about mechanisms without pretending a mechanism guarantees an outcome.
We will acknowledge when research is preclinical, limited, conflicting, or still developing.
We will encourage questions rather than blind enthusiasm.
And we will continue bringing the conversation back to the whole person.
Because responsible education isn't about making science sound more impressive.
It's about making science more understandable.
